Qiu Chi, obviously, is doing design, but his works and personality are not so logical, but more inclined to human habits or psychological discussions; his works are more intuitive, even more like our careful planning of design. Not for a particular function, a part of him may be more like doing art. He once thought about going to study psychology or philosophy. He entered the design field not because he loved painting or art since childhood. He also bluntly said: "I used to hate painting and felt dirty." But because I have always been right. If people are interested in things, they will choose "industrial design" that seems to be closely related to people's lives. During the learning process, the school's traditional mechanical route course has always challenged the teachers' bottom line in the search for creative space. During the school period, he also designed the curatorial pioneer in Taiwan—the designers Wang Junlong and He Zongtang.Trick designThe firm" is an intern. I think I have given up on defining what the design is. However, I feel that my work is not entirely focused on interaction with people, but rather on (performer) users. The design training allowed me to bring some details into the work, but these details may only be noticed by the performer (or only me). The reaction of the audience... I think that a lot of things will start from a very small point, but also because these are trivial things in life, the audience is easy to resonate.

Holding this kind of mood, I look forward to the reaction of the audience, and let "people" become one of the indispensable elements in Qiu Chi's works. When I first entered the school, I collaborated with the Department of Fashion Design. The work called "The Chair" (chair) started from the beginning of the body as a material. We have read many references and thought about how to present it. The material, I thought of putting the human body into an object in the container. At that time, the theme was to make a chair, and I began to consider where the chair can be placed. It was discussed that half of the chair was inside the container and half of the container was outside, it felt pretty good but it seemed to be shortcoming. It’s a bit weird.
