Have a drink in the parking lot? Melbourne's "Super Street" Bar & Graffiti Gallery, Whitehart

By
Photography/ Maya unless stated otherwise. Container bar is a very popular creative concept in recent years, often used in flash shop activities; these shipping containers have their inherent strength, wide availability, and more than traditional Building materials such as bricks or cement are all more environmentally friendly. On the remodeled parking lot in the heart of Melbourne, the compound space called Whitehart has become a popular new base for locals; together with the large steel bars and ferns that do not interfere with each other, Whitehart not only re-opens the industrial space of the parking lot. Reuse, but also successfully caught up with this wave of container bars. In the two accommodation spaces, the parking lot and the container, create a sheltered and open layout for visitors to view the urban graffiti art of Melbourne. The characteristics of the space predecessor field, the personality of the street art, it is not too much to call it a "super street" bar. Pass through the entrance like an alley and enter the bar with a hole in the sky. The bar was created by a pair of couples who had a head start; Stephen Johnson, the owner of the film, was also known for filming music for the famous Australian aboriginal rock band Yothu Yindi; his wife Sabrina Santucci was an art teacher. I am keen on the study of cuisine in various countries. The idea of the container bar is not the inspiration of the two people. Stephen is the director. Because of the working factors, he often travels everywhere, and is inspired by the unique style of bars around the world, so the feasibility of the container bar is invented. Extend it. Whitehart was in the lane called Whitehart Lane. The couple used the old parking lot in Whitehart Lane for a long time. It was a time of rapid change. The old-style parking lot could not keep up with the modern people's habits; The opportunity to reintroduce this very low utilization space into the crowd. The Whitehart overall space has a two-story open plan with two containers on the first floor – one for the bar and the other for the toilet with four compartments – and the DJ is also made of industrial iron. production. The space is surrounded by heavy industrial steel frame support, and the transparent glass panel is sheltered above; the high ceiling allows natural light to easily enter every corner, challenging Melbourne's intense southern hemisphere light, with a variety of green Planting, skillfully balancing the blunt industrial aesthetics. The Stephens, who originally invested in the field of art and creation, have a very close working relationship with local artists. After the establishment of Whitehart, they also collaborated with the art studio Daisylegs, created by Melbourne's graffiti artist Jamie Edward and Maddison Kitching, to install multi-layer art. The installation of the device and the wall surface creates a strong urban atmosphere for the bar venue, and graffiti on the huge wall symbolizes the white deer mural of the bar. Or, on the outer wall of the container, draw a series of graffiti from Mr. Doudou, with a sense of humor and humor, so that the beautiful field can give more possibilities to street art performance. Not only is the space full of character, Whitehart's menu and wine selection are also popular with Melbourne fashionists. Whitehart's dishes are sold by local food vendors on the dining car. The menu changes the menu to add freshness to the menu. The wines are selected from Australia and Europe, offering beer and cocktails at different prices and options. Meet the needs of hackers. Offering a cup of mirror for the spring day: Japanese cherry mirror coffee shop romantic

By

Cherry blossom viewing is not only an important festival event for Japanese people like the national movement, but also a spring pilgrimage to people all over the world. At the end of the cherry blossom season, the cherry blossom season, which is concentrated in the flowering season, has now blossomed all the way north from the southern tip of Japan. The coffee shop "スイーツ &カフェSEIKA MIRRORS" in Gifu Prefecture, Japan is famous in the local area, but it is not because of its interesting architectural design - using borrowing and mirror reflection to make coffee The courtyard on the left side of the hall has a whole cherry blossom view - standing in the courtyard, like a gentle cluster of pink cherry blossoms. The SEIKA MIRRORS, created by bandesign Architects, looks like a weird white cabin. It can't help but be amazed! The designer uses two connected buildings to create a 90-degree vertical angle, and the two walls of the angle are mirrored to reflect the view of the building – and of course the surrounding cherry trees. When the visitors are sitting in the coffee shop, the mirrored exterior walls are opened with two large windows, allowing people to enjoy the cherry blossoms on the opposite side from the perspective of the indoors. A farther rear view. Responding to the outdoor blooming cherry blossoms as the main protagonist, the indoor tables and chairs, the high wooden trusses are decorated with simple and plain original wood quality; the corners and the rear are interspersed with orange and green walls, so that the house has a comfortable and spacious extension. The sense also makes the level seem simple and powerful, and the arrangement of the seats is almost always facing the window. In the small courtyard between the two buildings, the design team uses the traditional Japanese simple landscaping, surrounded by white pebbles and stands among the camellia trees – not to compete with the cherry blossoms, but also to bloom in other seasons. In the daytime, the spring is full of joy. At night, the lights are lit in front of the window, which is another completely different quiet style. If you are lucky enough to catch up with the last wave of cherry blossoming in Japan, you may wish to go to Gifu Prefecture, Japan, to surround yourself with coffee and cherry blossoms.スイーツ&カフェSEIKA MIRRORS 2-63 Opening Hours: Id-Mon/ 09:00 am-07:00 pm T: +81-58-374-7278 Text / Irene Hsu. Orchids and green leaves in the maze: Spanish flower shop Caladium

By

At the beginning of 2016, Caladium, a flower shop in Granada, Spain, has a new look under the mastery of SERRANO + BAQUERO. In the past few years, the original storefront was covered by plants. When the eyes were full of greenery, the corners of the store gradually accumulated a lot of scattered potted plants and utensils, which led to lack of light in the house and the space atmosphere was too crowded to breathe. . In order to improve the work efficiency and sanitation environment of the flower shop, the flower shop owner also decided to renovate under this opportunity. The messy situation in the house even made the star shop of the flower shop: orchids - originally the dazzling protagonist in the flower shop, but eclipsed by the disorganized space, accumulated in the flowers and debris. In order to give the florist a new life, the construction team is dedicated to the idea of a “low cost” solution; this renovation will focus on the most basic elements: light and air, through simplicity and creativity. Ingenuity, for the disorderly flower shop to find the long-lost "live." In the daily work of the flower shop, there are always many indispensable tools, and in the finishing work of bouquets and corollas, the essential tool is the ladder. Flower shop owners Maria and Emilio open everything on the ladder every day, and the plants, plates and bouquets are placed in ladders of different heights by ladders. Therefore, the design of the design team combines the characteristics of the wooden ladder, abstracting the concept of the ladder into the space of the frame, using the spacing of the wooden ladder and the newly installed glass partition to build a light and natural light for the light. The path allows the sunlight to sprinkle naturally into the house and light up the space. At the same time, these ladders redefine the shape of the flower shop space. The platform where the ladders intersect is the support for the orchids. A small maze. The owner puts some living floral decorations on his own, so that the orchids, which were originally regarded as supporting roles, once again leapt to the stage of the flower shop, and indirectly created a friendly viewing environment. The modification of the Spanish flower shop Caladium reflects that the design can sometimes be simple – under certain conditions, proper subtraction can be more effective than additive. Through the extension and imagination of the concept of "ladder", the construction team has changed a variety of angles and display methods, and used the minimalist structure to play out the infinite possibilities, creating a greenhouse labyrinth without burden and vitality; no need to chase after the beautiful The imagination of life, because the beautiful scenery is already close at hand. "Intimate" and "intimate" practice in the life of Osaka: "Miyamoto-cho"

By
Living in crowded and confined urban cages, such as "evolution theory", in order to give ourselves a breathing space, we have already learned to use the objects in our hands to prevent the "private domain" from being violated. In the past, we held novels and newspapers on the MRT to avoid the embarrassment of the opposite passengers. Now in the 21st century, we only need a pair of headphones and a mobile phone, so that we can stand in the unconstrained situation. Into your own world. However, with the advancement of science and technology, we have also begun to think about whether this hard-won "privacy" has inadvertently become the "farthest distance" between loved ones and loved ones. People are swaying in the "privacy" and "intimate" scales, and the Japanese architectural studio Tato Architects has created a "wallless" home in Osaka, "Miyamotomachi's residence." Such a brilliant idea comes from the owner's imagination of the home space: I hope that a family of three can feel the relatives and closeness of each other, no matter where they are in the house. Talking about the living space without any independent room, the construction team explained the idea of the homeowner. "The storage space is not necessary in this house because they (the owner) don't think they need to cover their personal belongings." The Lord’s desire, Tato Architects designed a “seamlessly blended” residential space – seemingly boldly challenging the relationship between the family and the family, without affecting the function of the residence; in the ingenious details and perspectives of the design, while maintaining the family Member's privacy. The size of this "wallless building" is comparable to that of a typical two-storey home, but the stratification of the interior space is unforgettable; the building team uses a series of rectangular floors to create a height difference of 700 mm, through a level of horizontal drop Separate the independent space of the dedicated area; when it is not used as a "room" on weekdays, it can also be transformed into a desktop or storage platform. The floor section is made up of two spirals that separate the space from the wall and create multiple paths inside the house; starting from the spacious entrance where the bicycle can be parked, the floor begins to hover upwards along the sides of the space, gathering in the center The living area then forks again and rises towards the roof terrace. The unique moving lines and angles connect the multi-level space, making the whole house look like a large room, but each space has a "private field" that is both open and independent. "Miyamotomachi's residence" is located in a densely populated, gradually urbanized community, and it is expected that the surrounding buildings will be surrounded by high-rise buildings. In order to allow small houses to have sufficient sunshine in the shadow of high-rise buildings, Tato Architects has a number of triangular terraced box windows on the roof and outside of the building, and the roof terrace is also the best source of natural light for the entire building. . In order to comply with local fire regulations, the architect also built support structures for the 13 floors of the house – seven hanging on the roof beams and six hanging on rectangular steel pipes; the floor of the floor also uses simple steel beams. The structure supports the corrugations at the bottom of the metal plate to enhance the safety of the house. Tato Architects builds a living room like an "Echo Room" through a simple, repetitive spatial structure that complements the homeowner's ideal lifestyle and the multiple possibilities of a family home. After the completion of the "wallless residence", the homeowners living nearby gradually moved their living items into the new house, using furniture, books and other supplies to make the various platforms in the house a warm and lively place; The objects and people form a whole body, and in the open family house, the subject of "intimacy" and "privacy" is practiced. Tropical rainforest within the ball, loaded with the city Fendo: Amazon creates the indoor jungle The Spheres

By

Ancient humans from birth to conscious thinking process, feet on the mud, let the toes fall into the soil to feel the temperature of life; they curiously erect their ears, look at each other, and gain knowledge from all sides from experience. In the process of exploration, the original materials used for learning and use are gifts from the earth. Plants are the material for people to know, feel the environment and the world around them. From the initial creative behavior until the civilization opened up new land, the once nomadic ethnic group now erected white-collar workers, straddle the zebra crossing on the asphalt road; until they walked into the gates of the high-rise buildings, they began to struggle with the work and hit the keyboard. The day. Until now, surrounded by towering buildings in the city, lacking the environment of forests and primitive landscapes, people are back and forth in busy cities, and close contact with nature is no longer so within reach. In Seattle, there is a new happening that breaks the boundaries between cities and nature – one of the world's leading e-commerce companies, Amazon, which took seven years to create "The Spheres." "Let the employees who often race against time have an opportunity to breathe fresh air." Responding to Amazon CEO Jeffrey. Bezos's famous saying: "It's all about the long term." The Spheres, not only as the company's second headquarters in Seattle, but also inspires employees, learns and contacts for Seattle residents. A natural resting place. The Spheres this year (2018) 1 Moon phase in downtown Seattle, connected by three connected spheres. The NBBJ construction team responsible for this huge project has transplanted more than 40,000 plants and designed a unique “work environment” for Amazon to create a pristine space like a rainforest. "Our goal is to create a unique meeting place where employees can collaborate and inspire; here, residents of Seattle can experience the diversity of life here." - John Schoettler, vice president of Amazon, has no closed office, Meeting space or standard-shaped desk; large planting and natural light during the day, supplemented by indoor temperature control system to create an indoor tropical rainforest environment; let the working time with the plant and cycle regulation, Convert to clear and efficient action. The Understory is open to Seattle residents and has long-term cooperation with local schools and universities to provide students and residents with a forest-like experience. Through field contact and viewing, they can further understand and experience nature, scientific engineering and various plants. . The three spheres, covered by steel-framed glass, are up to 27 meters in diameter and over 36 meters in diameter. The outer wall is covered with a pentagon hexahedral 2643 piece of transparent high-efficiency glass. The design team entrains the middle layer. Thin film to reduce the interference of infrared rays. The three spheres are connected to each other in the room, and the natural light penetrates the glass, allowing the plants to receive the baptism of the sun, thereby maintaining the ecological balance. Through the mini rainforest climate control, the ambient humidity is maintained at a balance point, which even includes a tree house stacked by wooden boards, allowing employees to stay on top for meditation and relaxation. Under the warm light of transparent glass, this place is located in the city center, but isolated from the indoor rainforest outside the city buildings, like a harmonious world of nature and civilization. After building a high degree and drawing the boundaries between the city and nature, Seattle seems to have returned to the origin of coexistence with nature. Image Sources: The...

Arabian Nights in Portugal: Stepping on the gentle dunes barefoot, Casas Na Areia Inn

By

"When we explore ourselves, we will go somewhere, even if it is only a short mooring, but on the journey of exploring ourselves, we will inevitably experience loneliness; but everything we do is not out of loneliness. Fear. This is why we will leave everything and do things that we regret when life comes to the end." - "Lisbon Night Train", Pascal Mercier, 2004 may be the dialogue of "Lisbon Night Train", Portugal is a place where I fled from all sorts of boring, self-independence and re-expansion. When the stars are the best reason for hatching adventures, you are eager to cross the night again, looking for treasures hidden in your heart waiting to be excavated. Casas Na Areia, located in the Alentejo district of Portugal, is like a berthing space on the journey, sown the Arabian desert in The Arabian Nights, and the grain dust turns into a daydreamer. Gentle dreams; pick up your toes and prepare to fly. The hotel is located in Comporta, south of Lisbon all the way, about an hour by car. Compared with the luxurious scenery of the holiday villa, the first sight of this area is unforgettable. It is the earthy atmosphere of the original ecology; the grassland, rice fields and the deserts covered by it, watching the loneliness of independence, but the mood is more obvious. wide. Since its completion in 2010, Casas Na Areia has been planned by the construction team Aires Mateus; initially it was only a weekend in the country with a resting hut, perhaps inspired by the vast landscape, and the blueprint eventually expanded into a charming hotel. The main body of the hotel is located close to four independent cottages in the vicinity of Comporta Beach. The building team respects the local tradition and chooses to preserve the soul of the old building. Two of them are cabins, the other two are covered by white walls; the roof is covered with solid reed leaves, and the simple texture creates a unique characteristic of the local architecture. Surrounded by sand, Casas Na Areia boldly smashes the carpet and even the ground in some spaces, making the grain dust a gentle stepping on the ground. As the "0 House" used in the dining area and the living room, the sand is used as a ground floor. The aim is to keep the "original beach" close to the day and night of the traveler's non-stop moving, both in the field of vision and as a metaphor. Leave a soft and solid footprint on the journey. The linen curtains are lightly swayed by the Atlantic sea breeze, and the lazy bone sofa outside the door is undoubtedly a place where you can take your love books and bury your head in the afternoon. "1 House" and "2 House" are white-walled rooms with bathrooms; Imagine drying your body after bathing, wearing a comfortable nightgown, listening to the sounds of nature, walking into the living room, leaning on Gervasoni's pure white sofa, quietly enjoy the original situation created by the furniture and the environment. The last "3 House" is a long wooden house with two suites that can be used independently, especially for children to play around without restraint. Enjoy the indoor scenery, barefoot through the small swimming pool, the vast outdoor scenery is undoubtedly equally charming. Outside the sand is a vast field, with a hint of ocean in the distance; a taste of a well-known local wine, or barefoot on the beach of Conporta, riding along the sea breeze to chase the sunset. You can also take a boat guided by the Vertigem Azu team and get close to the wild dolphins flying over the sea. When you hear the sea birds cry, don't forget to look up at the blue sky and watch their free flying posture. The traces of the sand on the foot of the foot, such as the shackles on the beach, are so deep; after being baptized by the trip, I look up at the starry sky again, perhaps discovering that the heart that I wanted to escape has now settled back to the calm of the Atlantic. A lonely and free journey, unfolding in Casas Na Areia, indulges himself in the tranquility of the city, letting the mind fly with the wings of the seabirds; the rest of the life is intractable, and it seems that some strength can face it bravely. Under the blue sky, open a triangular skylight: Fucheng Container Coffee House, ARA Coffee Co

By

The rhythm of self-satisfaction, still can't refuse the "comfortable guest" of the small trouble; the late morning of late sleep, always have to give up the long queue of long-handed coffee shops, but do not want to Super business will be free to "energy supply" at the beginning of the day. Although such an embarrassing moment does not affect the quality of life, but we are addicted to coffee, but in the rush of the footsteps, quietly conceive a blueprint of life in the brain: if the living community happens to have sunshine With a rich aroma cafe, how good it should be. The scene came to the corner of Anping, Tainan, and the initial encounter with ARA Coffee Co was deeply attracted by its bold appearance. Come to Tainan, which is known as the "Gourmet Capital", and don't hurry to find the food stalls in the local area; walk along the streets of Anping District and let yourself be immersed in the calm and calm pace of life in the community. As soon as I looked up, three pure white container houses caught my eye and were puzzled by the use of the building. I saw the capitalized "A" inlaid on the white room board, with the fragrant coffee scented into the nose; Next, instead of the light and colorful cloud color, it has become the visual focus of the residential building. ARA Coffee Co's eye-catching space was created by Dingji Architects, which combines three 20-foot container units into a triangular field in a loop, and also cleverly connects the office area, the order bar and the seating area; Under the limited building materials, it perfectly constructs the functional prototypes necessary for a coffee shop. In the interior space design, the design team not only retains the original texture of the industrial wind, but also reinterprets the relationship between the building and the urban environment through large-area windows, expansion nets, light-diffusing diffusers, etc. - as in the residential area The white Lego, incarnates as a simple and elegant square box, gazing at the flowing life of the city. In order to control the budget, the design team also considers the integration of the building's exterior and interior materials. For example, a continuous workbench with a white steel plate concavely folds the furniture in a limited space like a piece of paper, thereby reducing the pressure caused by the crowded space. In addition to being a leisure place for community residents, ARA Coffee Co also set up a special free-looking driveway for the majority of locomotive commuters. The gravel is used to define the lanes, but it also forms a simple and undulating landscape. Elegantly spread into the interior of a triangular atrium separated by three containers; pure white walls, with gravel and green plants, delicately separated from a mini corner under the blue sky - 啜Drinking coffee and leaning on the innocent space, all kinds of worries seem to be easily forgotten, leaving this moment of silence to yourself. Coffee is not good, it is just a tonality for people who are not suitable for drinking. You don't have to cater to anyone, but who will definitely suit you. Just like the brand image of ARA Coffee Co, the simple storefront also gives people a sense of comfort. Here, let go of the cumbersome lace decoration, look at the pure white wall, like a simple base map, set off the importance of "drinking coffee." It is the owner of the baking peasant. It is very particular about choosing beans, baking, and extracting. Therefore, in addition to selling freshly brewed coffee, the coffee beans are also available for patients with heavy coffee addiction, so that the throat is sweet. Extend to become a daily nutrient – like this container cafe standing in the middle of the house, quietly telling the continuation of a better life. ARA Coffee Co Next to the container house at No. 7 , Lane 107, Health Third Street, Anping District, Tainan City...

Dive below the azure sea level, come a miraculous sensory journey: Norwegian UNDER underwater restaurant

By

Have you ever thought about living under the sea? In the northernmost village of Båly on the Norwegian coastline, the world's largest underwater restaurant, Under, appears. The submarine building, designed by the construction team Snohetta, looks like a "wreck" and looks like a capsule hull anchored on land, half on the surface and half hidden under the water. The restaurant has a wide interior and can accommodate up to 100 visitors. Its dining environment is close to the power of nature, and it is also a research center for marine life. Through a special architectural design, the construction team sighs at the magnificent scenery along the Norwegian coast, and also shows its love for the underwater creatures. While enjoying the food, you can enjoy the deep underwater scenery while enjoying the dreams of dining in the aquarium. Under is the name of the restaurant. It is also equivalent to "Miracle" in Norwegian. The singularity of the world is amazing. The construction team created three levels for Under; once entering the restaurant, it symbolizes the development of the ocean journey; starting from the tidal pool, sitting on the submarine and descending three floors will come to the champagne bar – the symbol of the coastline The boundaries of the bar are inspired by the natural colours of rocks and sandstone, and have wide-angle panoramic windows at the rear for visitors to see the beautiful underwater world. The distinctive restaurant space is located at the bottom of the building, hiding in the sea more than five meters from the water. Unlike the soft color of the champagne bar, the dining area is covered in dark blue and green, inspired by the ocean and seaweed, and rough. The concrete looks in sharp contrast to create a warm atmosphere. In addition, the dishes are not casual. The restaurant is made from local ingredients and fresh sea food, and the freshest authentic dishes are cooked to make you feel good and enjoy the taste buds. The huge laser window mirror in the restaurant is like a periscope that sinks into the sea, providing people to observe the seabed changes under different seasons and weather conditions. In addition to the appearance of the Nordic coast, the building is also carefully designed and thoroughly researched in order to provide the restaurant with an unforgettable dining experience and friendly maintenance. The marine environment does not leave any room for it. With the help of researchers, the restaurant creates the best living conditions on the seabed, allowing fish and shellfish to thrive around. Interestingly, they also created a smooth, streamlined concrete surface for the building to absorb mussels; as the mollusk community became dense and time-lapse formed an ecological agglomeration, not only for people to observe the marine ecology at close range, At the same time, it can also metabolize the pollution of the ocean and attract more marine life into the purified waters. In order to attract the fish to the window, the marine researcher also used some "small steps", such as: lighting, smell and sound, the purpose is to let visitors enjoy a rich sensory feast. "I believe that this novel catering style will inject new life into the tourism industry in the new century and attract travellers from all over the world to Norway," the founding investors of the restaurant said confidently. Since ancient times, the ocean has always been a mysterious and fascinating place for human beings; now the Undersea restaurant offers people a transparent and open opportunity, which is expected to kick off in 2019 to satisfy your eager curiosity. A space kaleidoscope that illuminates the warmth: a Spanish apartment like the Palace of the Palace Parlament 19

By

Being in a cosmopolitan city with limited living space, we are always working hard for more comfortable living conditions. The heart that is tired because of daily anxiety is especially eager to live in an ideal home - one can face the natural scenery, and at the same time Privacy space. However, we never thought about it. In fact, we only need a simple and ingenious design to simultaneously consider the aesthetics and function to meet the diverse needs of people. This apartment in Sant Antoni, Spain, Parlament 19, under the hands of the design team Miel Arquitectos, gives life to the original old and small apartment. Through simple techniques, the team separated two suites, a kitchen and a living room in an apartment of less than 20 pings, successfully cutting out a number of living rooms, but not visually narrow. This magical technique is the mirror. They put a mirror-shaped body in the center of the apartment as the center of the space. From the entrance, the mirror is like a doorman and leads the visitors. In a gradually enlarged space; slowly stepping in, the central mirror looks like a kaleidoscope of people's lives; it also extends the historical traces of the building, reflecting the natural scenery outside the window, providing multiple perspectives for people to view the space, and apartments. The scenery outside is quite interesting. Hidden behind the mirror is the kitchen space, and the white kitchen and ceiling make the space look like a small world outside the building. The design team opened a window connecting the kitchen and the dining room. The white walls and the interlaced yellow mosaic tiles softened the space boundaries outside the body, with sporadic gold strokes to embellish, handle, and switch. Forms appear, adding a warm and bright atmosphere to the space, which shows the fresh and warm life of the kitchen and dining space. Crossing the mirror to another space, the red brick ceiling reflects the atmosphere in the living room through the white wall. The selection of the floor echoes the warm texture of the ceiling, and the design team's extraordinary ingenuity . Following the arrangement of the red bricks, you will find the bedroom bathroom that is also hidden behind the mirror. In the same kitchen, the bathroom uses gradient mosaic tiles to create a distinctive color that is different from the mirror. It is worth mentioning that the bathroom entrance of the master bedroom chooses not to use the mirror instead of the ordinary wooden door. In the mirrored overall space, it creates an illusion like a wardrobe - only when the door is opened, can you find a hole in the sky. Parlament 19 is undoubtedly the experimental project of the design team for "reflective". The fallen mirror is the new highlight of the apartment, making the space more spacious with the visual experience of illusion; in addition, the lively mosaic tiles are more subtle. The balance mirror brings a cold scent. In the fantasy and childlike living space, I look up to see the scenery outside the mirror and discover the diversity of life. As if to be pre-announced, life is still depressed, we still have imagination to accompany - after a short break, life is still beautifully kicked off. All Images via Miel Arquitectos .
